What you get

A real advisor’s brief. On every match.

The Brief is the product. It’s what members screenshot, what they send to their group chat, and what they renew for. A senior dealer would charge $500/hr to write one — you get one on every car the engine finds for you.

Steal. 17% below comp median with strong provenance. If documentation checks out, this is a bid-aggressively car.

The take
Honest 50k-mile RS in original silver — sub-comp ask on a sale that historically heats up in the final six hours.

Carrera RS 2.7 Touring with documented Porsche Classic Kardex, sympathetic restoration, and matching numbers. Reserve is hidden but BaT auctions on this trim tend to clear at 1.05–1.15× comp median in the final hour. Don’t commit until you see the seller’s engine bay photos for cross-bracing.

Suggested opening offer
$185,000
Open at $185k with a written request for Kardex + service binder. Hold $208k as your ceiling — that’s comp median + 8%, the historical cap for this spec.

The Brief

Comps, provenance, the play.

A one-page advisor read on every match: where the asking sits vs. the market, what the photos say about authenticity, suggested opening offer, and the specific negotiation tactic for this deal. Shareable with one tap.

The Verdict

STEAL. FAIR. WALK.

Every listing gets a one-word call so you scan a dashboard in seconds. The engine never declares a STEAL on a thin sample. It will tell you to walk when provenance is questionable, even if the price looks right.

The Watch

Every source. Every hour.

150+ auction houses, dealers, factory heritage programs, marque clubs, and private feeds — refreshed continuously. VIN-level watches for the chassis you’ve been hunting for years. The moment yours surfaces, you know first.

The platform makes a call. You decide whether to take it. That’s what an advisor is for.

What is ClassicCarHunter?

ClassicCarHunter is a private member network for serious classic and collector car buyers. The platform monitors 150+ sources across 18 countries — including factory heritage programs (Ferrari Classiche, Porsche Classic, Lamborghini Polo Storico), premium auctions (RM Sotheby's, Bonhams, Gooding & Company, Mecum), online marketplaces (Bring a Trailer, Cars & Bids, Hagerty Marketplace), marque-club listings, and off-market private collections — then delivers a one-page advisor brief on every matching listing.

What is the Acquisition Brief?

The Acquisition Brief is a senior-advisor memo generated for every car the engine finds. It includes a STEAL / FAIR / PRICED HIGH / WALK verdict, a likely-fair price range based on recent comparable sales (median, IQR, time-weighted), AI provenance screening from listing photos, suggested opening offer, and a venue-specific negotiation playbook for the auction site or dealer listing in question.

How does the STEAL / FAIR / WALK verdict work?

The platform classifies every match using comparable sales, provenance score, and listing anomaly flags. A STEAL is declared only when the asking price sits more than 15% below the comp median with high-confidence comp data and no provenance concerns. WALK is triggered when the asking is more than 25% over comp median, provenance score is low, or the listing is no longer available. FAIR is the default for prices within roughly ±10% of the comp median.

What sources does ClassicCarHunter monitor?

The engine watches RM Sotheby's, Bonhams, Gooding & Company, Bring a Trailer, Mecum Auctions, Barrett-Jackson, Hagerty Marketplace, Cars & Bids, Classic.com, Hemmings, eBay Motors, Bring a Trailer's sold archive, factory heritage programs (Ferrari Classiche, Porsche Classic, Mercedes-Benz Classic Center, Lamborghini Polo Storico), marque-club marketplaces, and curated specialist dealers including Canepa, Fantasy Junction, Symbolic International, Beverly Hills Car Club, Joe Macari, Tom Hartley Jnr, and dupontREGISTRY. New sources are added continuously.

Can I track a specific VIN or chassis number?

Yes. The platform supports both exact VIN watches and VIN-range watches across production runs. The moment that specific chassis appears in any monitored source — auction catalog, dealer feed, forum, or private offer — the member is alerted immediately. This is how members finally find chassis they've been hunting for years.

What does membership cost?

Three tiers: Hunter is $99 one-time for 90 days of watching one specific car, with the full Acquisition Brief on every match. Collector is $500/month or $5,000/year and unlocks unlimited hunts, Sniper Mode, garage tracking with live valuation, VIN watches, and the Vault provenance dossier. Founders Circle is $12,500/year, capped at 500 members for life, with a named human concierge, off-market dealer network access, and direct line to the founder.

How is ClassicCarHunter different from Bring a Trailer or Hemmings?

Bring a Trailer and Hemmings are individual listing sites where buyers manually scroll. ClassicCarHunter is an aggregation and analysis layer that watches all of them — plus 140+ other sources — and pushes you only the cars that match your watch list, along with an advisor brief. You don't scroll listings; you receive briefs.

Does ClassicCarHunter check title brands, theft records, and recalls?

Yes. Every Acquisition Brief on a 1981+ VIN runs through three independent layers: NMVTIS (title trail across states, branded titles like salvage / flood / rebuilt) via VinAudit, NICB (national theft records), and the free public NHTSA APIs (open recalls, complaint clusters, federal investigations). A flagged title forces the deal classifier to WALK regardless of how cheap the comp position looks. We do NOT scrape CARFAX — CARFAX prohibits scraping and we use licensed federal data sources instead.

Can ClassicCarHunter see prior sales of the exact chassis I'm bidding on?

Yes — for any VIN that's appeared in our continuously-scraped auction archive (BringATrailer sold, Hemmings sold, Cars & Bids, RM Sotheby's results, Bonhams catalogs, Mecum). The Brief surfaces a chronological timeline of every prior listing for the same chassis, with date, venue, and sold price. For collector cars this is some of the most expensive provenance signal money can buy — and we surface it for free.

Does ClassicCarHunter help me get the factory record (Kardex, Classiche, Marti)?

Yes. For every car in your garage or every brief you read, we surface the canonical authoritative-record link for that marque: Porsche Production Specification (Kardex), Ferrari Classiche Certification, Lamborghini Polo Storico Certificate of Originality, Mercedes-Benz Classic Data Card, BMW Group Classic Build Specification, JDHT Heritage Certificate, Marti Report (Ford 1967–2012), Massini Report (Mopar), GM Heritage Vehicle Information Kit, NCRS Top Flight (Corvette), Lotus Heritage Certificate, British Motor Heritage Certificate (Triumph / MG / Austin-Healey), Rolls-Royce Enthusiasts' Club records, and more. We point you to the issuer; you order the document; you upload it to The Vault.

What is the Vault?

The Vault is a lifetime authentication dossier maintained per car. It combines AI provenance screening (vision analysis of every listing photo for respray, period-incorrect parts, and inauthentic data plates) with member-supplied factory records (Porsche Kardex, Ferrari Classiche certificate, Lamborghini Polo Storico, Mercedes-Benz data card, Marti Report, JDHT Heritage Certificate, NCRS judging sheet). The dossier transfers with the car when sold to another member, and carries forward to heirs via a per-car Legacy Plan.

Does ClassicCarHunter contact sellers on my behalf?

No. The platform never sends automated outreach to sellers — that would violate platform terms of service, TCPA, and CAN-SPAM. Instead, members configure their own outreach (Sniper Mode email + call script), and the platform loads it one-tap-ready on the brief the moment a match arrives. The member chooses when and how to send.

Is membership by application only?

Yes. Every applicant is reviewed personally by the founder. Most members come through referral from an existing collector. The Founders Circle is capped at 500 seats globally — once those are claimed, the tier closes forever.

Does ClassicCarHunter authenticate the cars members buy?

The Vault provides multi-tier authentication. Brief tier reflects AI photo screening only. Plus tier adds member-supplied factory documentation (build sheets, Kardex, Marti, JDHT, Massini). CCH-Verified tier (rolling out as a separate program) requires in-person pre-purchase inspection and marque-registry confirmation. The platform is not an underwriter — those are tier-gated and clearly disclaimed.

What marques are supported?

Every collector marque the platform encounters — primary depth in Ferrari, Porsche, Lamborghini, Aston Martin, Mercedes-Benz, Jaguar, Shelby, Ford, Chevrolet (Corvette), Bugatti, Bentley, Rolls-Royce, McLaren, Maserati, Alfa Romeo, BMW, Audi, Lotus, Triumph, Datsun, Toyota, Honda, and Land Rover. Provenance heuristics are tuned per-marque for the highest-volume names.
