1. Agreement to these terms
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) form a binding agreement between you and ClassicCarHunter (“ClassicCarHunter,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) regarding your access to and use of classiccarhunting.com and the related services (the “Service”).
By submitting an application, creating an account, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. What we are — and are not
ClassicCarHunter is an information aggregation, analysis, and concierge service for buyers and owners of classic and collector vehicles. We monitor public auction listings, dealer inventories, marque-club marketplaces, and other public sources, and we provide our members with structured analysis (the “Acquisition Brief”), comp range data, AI-generated provenance signals, and notification of matching listings.
ClassicCarHunter is not an auction platform, a vehicle dealer, a broker of record, an escrow agent, an insurer, or an underwriter. We do not take title to any vehicle. We do not represent buyers or sellers in a fiduciary capacity. Any transaction you enter into is between you and the seller (or auction venue) directly, governed by their terms.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding contract under the laws of your jurisdiction to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent that you meet these requirements.
4. Membership and applications
Access to the Service is by application only. We may accept, waitlist, or reject any application at our discretion. We may also revoke acceptance prior to activation if information you provided proves materially inaccurate.
When approved, you will receive an email containing a payment link. Your membership begins once payment clears and we activate your account; until then, you have no access to the Service.
Membership tiers, prices, included features, and any launch promotions are described on the Pricing page and may be updated. The price and feature set at the time you complete payment governs that billing period.
5. Payment and refunds
Payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. through a hosted payment link. By paying, you agree to Stripe’s terms of service.
Hunter is a one-time fee for 90 days of monitoring one named hunt. It does not auto-renew.
Collector recurs monthly or annually, depending on the cadence you selected. You may cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the then-current billing period. We do not pro-rate partial periods.
Founders Circle is an annual seat. Founders membership is a once-only seat in a 500-seat global cap; once granted, your seat does not subject you to a renewal rate increase.
Refunds are issued at our discretion. Materially defective Service (e.g. a prolonged outage of core matching functionality without remediation) may warrant a refund or credit; dissatisfaction with comp data, deal classifications, or specific match results does not.
If we accept a 0.5–1% success fee for an assisted acquisition (capped at $25,000 per transaction), that fee is invoiced separately to the buyer at closing.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Scrape, redistribute, resell, or sublicense Acquisition Brief content, comp data, or member-supplied content;
- Reverse-engineer the matching engine, classifier, or scoring models;
- Use the Service to send unsolicited commercial communications to sellers, dealers, or other members;
- Impersonate another member or misrepresent your identity or collection;
- Use automated systems to access the Service except for general-purpose web crawlers obeying robots.txt;
- Use the Service in any way that violates platform terms of the sources we aggregate (Bring a Trailer, RM Sotheby’s, etc.).
7. Outreach to sellers
ClassicCarHunter does not contact sellers, dealers, or third parties on your behalf without your explicit one-tap action. Sniper Mode and Pursuit tools prepare outreach (email, call script, text template) that loads for you to send manually. We never send automated commercial messages to sellers on your behalf. You are solely responsible for the content, timing, and lawfulness of any communications you send through or about the Service, including compliance with TCPA, CAN-SPAM, GDPR, and applicable state laws.
8. Listing data, comps, and provenance — no guarantees
The Service surfaces information from third parties, normalized and analyzed by our software and AI models. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, currency, or fitness-for-purpose of any listing data, comparable-sales statistic, deal classification (STEAL / FAIR / PRICED HIGH / WALK), price range, suggested opening offer, negotiation tactic, or provenance reading.
AI-generated provenance signals are screening signals only. They are not a substitute for in-person inspection, marque-registry verification, or a qualified pre-purchase inspection (“PPI”). The Vault (any tier) is a documentation dossier, not a warranty of authenticity. Higher-tier verification programs that include physical inspection are clearly disclosed when offered and are governed by separate program terms.
You are responsible for your own purchase decisions. We strongly recommend a qualified PPI before bidding on or buying any collector vehicle.
9. Content you provide
You retain ownership of content you submit to the Service (photos, garage entries, hunt descriptions, vault documents, communications with us). You grant ClassicCarHunter a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, process, transmit, and display that content for the purpose of operating and improving the Service, including using it as input to AI models we operate or license. We will not sell your content to third parties.
You represent that you have the rights to submit content you provide, and that doing so does not infringe a third party’s rights.
10. Our intellectual property
The ClassicCarHunter name, logo, Acquisition Brief format, deal classifier, Vault, Pursuit, Whisper Network, and Guru branding are trademarks or service marks of ClassicCarHunter. The Service’s software, design system, and aggregated analytical output (e.g. comp medians, ranges, market trend charts produced by our engine) are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy or redistribute them except as expressly permitted.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, ClassicCarHunter shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses, arising out of or related to your use of the Service.
Our aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or related to the Service is capped at the greater of (a) the amount you paid to ClassicCarHunter in the twelve months preceding the claim, or (b) one hundred U.S. dollars.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages, so the above limitations may not apply to you to the extent prohibited.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold ClassicCarHunter, its officers, employees, and agents harmless from any claim, demand, loss, liability, or expense (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of (a) your use of the Service, (b) your purchase, sale, or attempted purchase of a vehicle through information surfaced by the Service, (c) any content you submit, or (d) your violation of these Terms or applicable law.
13. Termination
You may cancel your membership at any time through your account settings or by emailing us. We may suspend or terminate your access for breach of these Terms, abuse of the Service, fraudulent payment, or risk to other members. On termination, your active hunts are paused, your match history is retained for a reasonable period, and our license to host your content ends except as required to comply with law or resolve disputes.
14. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute arising under these Terms shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Travis County, Texas, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.
15. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Effective” date above and, for material changes, notify active members by email. Continued use of the Service after a material change constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
